认识我们的辅导员


学校心理咨询部. 西奥多·吉林 High School has two functions – providing Academic, 大学/职业, and Personal counseling and administering educational services by maintaining and dispensing of schedules, 记录, 成绩单, 等.

咨询

Counseling is defined as the process of aiding a student in adjusting to his/her changing self and environment.

学术顾问 – The 学校心理咨询部 will work with the student and parents/guardians in planning out his/her four (4) year high school academic plan. Careful consideration will be made to plan the student’s academic coursework to prepare them for the level of studies they will want to pursue at the college or university of choice.

大学/职业建议 – The 学校心理咨询部 will aid students and parents/guardians in making college/career decisions. Students will have regular discussions about colleges and universities, 申请程序, 经济援助研究, 安排大学访问, 大学入学条件, 以及SAT/行为考试日期, 信息, 和准备.

个人心理咨询 – Any student at Saint 西奥多·吉林 High School should feel free to consult a Counselor as often as the need arises. Appointments may be made at the 学校心理咨询 Office.

Announcements concerning college representative visits, 奖学金, and any news pertaining to higher education will be distributed bi-monthly to students.

发现-大一
大一是充满新发现的一年. It is important that students keep an open mind and seek out opportunities to discover the many different options available for them in their college choices. 最重要的是, it is a critical year to discover the importance of a solid high school experience as it relates to opportunities and options for college and beyond. This will be done largely through the learning the difference between homework and studying.

发展-大二
The sophomore year is an important one for the students to really push themselves to develop their full God-given potential. 也, it is an important year to develop a comprehensive understanding of your post-secondary options. This is the year to really begin developing and broadening your understanding of college options and choices.

辨别——初级
During the junior year it is important for the student to be deeply involved in the discernment process for what they will do with their future. Students should be discerning which colleges will be a “good fit” for them by actively seeking out 信息 on schools and developing a list of schools for which they plan to apply. They also should know their academic standing and how that relates to their college admission chances.

交付-高级
The senior year is where the student gets to deliver all that they have discovered, 在过去的三年里发展和辨别. It is important to have a good sense of what your options are and where you can best achieve your goals. The time, effort and quality of your delivery will have a significant impact on your successes. Enjoy and trust in God to guide you to your next step in your journey.

The 行为 is a college admissions test used to assess a student’s educational progress and college readiness in the following areas: English, 数学, 阅读, 科学, 和写作. 行为 also provides 信息 on how to find, plan, and apply to colleges. Guerin Catholic students will explore this website in the freshman-senior years.

This corporation sponsors the PSAT and SAT which are tests used to measure a student’s college readiness and critical thinking skills in 阅读, 数学, 和写作. An individual may also access 信息 on planning for college, 找一所大学, 申请大学, 支付大学学费, 还有更多. Guerin Catholic students will begin to research this site in the sophomore-senior years.
